Here is a new and exciting matchup to kick off this summer. Rory has been bred to Piper out of Driftwood Retrievers in Oklahoma. Piper is a gun dog trained by semi-pro and owner Greg Davis. She is 48 lbs of compact go! She was quick to steady for hunting in the duck blind and dove fields, a natural quarterer in the uplands and super chilled family dog when not out busting cover for birds. She is proven. Her puppies have produced solid gun dogs and one that is currently doing detection for the TSA. Her pedigree like Rory’s is all field , it is loaded with accomplished dogs.

HRch uh rory x Dottie - (Breeding anticipated Fall 2026) - limited availability

We saw such great things from the puppies out of the last litter including one gung ho puppy that went to the Netherlands for waterfowl hunting, this breeding will be repeated. Dottie is a stunning dark golden with a strong athletic 65lb build and a vibrant personality to match. She is a high-drive hunting companion who is working towards her Junior Hunter title. Dottie is highly intelligent with a sharp mind and an independent thinker - qualities that sometimes make her more of a strategist than a rule follower. At home, she is affectionate and gentle, especially with the children, making her the ideal blend of drive and devotion. She is person oriented and thrives on human interaction.

As dark as Dottie is we are expecting very dark goldens out of this litter. The matchup with Rory should build on the drive they both have our plans are to build the tractability for their future handlers.

exclusive HRCH UH RORY X HR BONNIE (US x UK cross) - spring/summer 2027 - No availability

After a long journey that started with a gamekeeper in Scotland, Bonnie is here with us in North Texas and currently in advanced training. She has a great personality, is an outstanding marking dog and very tractable. She is honoring well and has already hunted alongside Rory this past fall.

Our plans are to train and title her to Hunting Retriever Champion in 2027 then continue to finished Upland training for pheasants. She finished her UKC Hunting Retriever title just as she turned two. She passed all of the tests entered.

Besides her being an outstanding dog I am hoping to bring some new field golden genes into the US. Breeding her brings some of the best of Scotland to some of the best (Rory) here in the US. We are seeing a very low coefficient of inbreeding due to this outcross. High coefficient of inbreedings (COI) can lead to health issues over time. Most all of our breedings are nice low COI’s but this one is the lowest we have ever done.

Bonnie weighs 50 lbs.

Puppies will be both AKC and UKC registered.
